Machines that abutment hot swapping charge to be able to adapt their operation for the afflicted configuration, either automatically on audition the change, or by user intervention. All electrical and automated access associated with hot-swapping have to be advised so that neither the accessories nor the user can be afflicted while hot-swapping. Other apparatus in the arrangement have to be advised so that the abatement of a hot-swappable basic does not arrest operation.
